Client Text Entry PreparationThere are two parts to preparing your website. First is the visual format from selections found at the Graphics Sample Page. The second is deciding what text you want us to put on each page. Please use this web page as an aid in preparing that text. Print out the page or simply note the parts and criteria for each section. Home Page - This page is supposed to grab interest fast and get the potential customer to take the next step - look at the Products/Services page and map for your location. Keep it positive, friendly, short, at to the point. Try to use just enough to welcome, invoke a key item interest and direct them to take action. No more than 3 short paragraphs is best. About Us Page - Give a few key points on how you stand out from others, what your background in this business is, and what your business philosophy is. Include a picture of your business, you, your employees, or something special to give personality and credability to you and your business. A few paragraphs is acceptable. Map Page - If there is something important to note like your place inside a mall or office building, a key visual item to look for, or something that your customer will need to find you, here is where it will need to go. A map can get someone to a location, but to get them to your actual door may need a little extra. If you have a picture, we can use it to help guide them to you. Keep it short and simple. Products/Services - This is NOT an Internet sales site. DO NOT list each and every item and price. What you want here is to "sell the sizzle" or atmosphere of your establishment. Generalities and hype can be used here. Incuding a couple of pictures or even a montage of several can be effective. If you are a business with a regular set of prices you actually display on your wall, in a menu, a handbill, etc. AND don't plan on changing those prices more than once a year, you can take a picture of the menu, price list, etc. and send it to us as inclusion on this page. We can change it as a picture in the future, but not as typed text on a page. Three to four paragraphs and a couple of pictures works well. Specials Page - This is used to track customers visiting your page. A "GOOD" coupon is worth it's weight in gold. Consider giving more than the usual advertising discount or something extra that will impress the customer. Tie it with another purchase or service so it's only used when you make some money. What you're looking for here is the extra draw for that first visit. Also, you want to know that people are actually noticing your site and using it to get to you. Don't forget the fine print and an expiration date, but try to keep it simple. No more than two paragraphs here.
